Terms & Conditions

Membership

Membership to this service costs £30 (for lifetime membership) and we require that all potential resellers register with us via our website. We will then have a 24-hour period where the registration will be vetted by our staff. We will ask for details of intended selling methods at the time of registration, please provide either a website url, or details of your proposed auction site/username.

Once we have vetted the application, we will forward a Paypal Invoice for the registration fee (currently £30). Upon payment of this fee, the registration will be finalised and a discount code sent via email.

Any further information we require prior to authorising a member will be requested via email.

Please note - all registration fee's are now 'refundable'. To qualify for this refund you must either sell a full PC package, or make 4 other sales of non-package products. There has been a lot of talk about registration fees on Dropshipping websites, and whilst we stand by our decision to have this, we do agree that maybe it should be refunded to our resellers who prove their efforts.

Specification

We reserve the right to change some components in some of our specifications. This is due to the dynamic nature of component technology. We can guarantee though, that we will only ever change a component with a better one - this will not be used as an excuse to supply any lesser a PC.

Price

We offer our RCP (Recommended Comspec Price) on each product page. This price is the suggested retail price for our resellers. We provide all authorised resellers with a 'voucher code' giving them a discount percentage off the product range. There are no further hidden costs at all. We are not currently VAT registered, so there is no VAT content to worry about. VAT Registration is likely to occur early in 2008, but we will let all our members know well in advance.

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling.

All prices will be reviewed on the last weekend of every month, with any changes being reflected on the first of the following month. This will permit us to amend specifications to take account of components no longer available and any major changes in price (upwards or downwards). Because of the dynamic nature of PC technology some components can drop quite dramatically in price (and some can drift upwards).

We will, in time, offer a 'Premium Reseller' package, once a reseller reaches a set amount of sales. This will entitle the reseller to enter a different 'voucher code' to obtain a further discount off our prices. This threshold is not made public, but all potential 'Premium Resellers' will be contacted by email with their voucher code.

Please note that anyone who uses a code other than their own at time of order will have their order cancelled. We will check every order prior to shipping.

Payment Methods

We will offer Paypal, Credit Card (via Paypal), BACS transfer (call us or email for details), Cheque or Postal Order. Obviously all funds have to be cleared before despatch. If someone has a particular request, please email us and we will certainly try to help. Please make any cheques, etc, payable to COMSPEC.

Shipping

We will endeavour to ship products as quickly as possible, but would ask that all resellers inform their customers that delivery can take up to 7-14 days (for PC Systems) and up to 7 days (for accessories). This allows us to obtain more stock if necessary or to test PC’s to their fullest prior to despatch. We have no set days for despatch, and will endeavour to ship as many orders as possible on the date of order. It is expected that at least 95% of accessories/components ordered will be shipped within 24 hours, but we will take a few days to build and test complete PC systems, so would ask that you make your customers aware of this.

We will calculate shipping cost based upon weight and this is available at checkout stage. For further details on our shipping rates, please visit the Shipping page.

All smaller packages are sent via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, all PC packages (or larger items) are sent via Citylink. We have a ceiling of £25.00 for any one shipment, and this will not be exceeded.

Technical Support

All PCs come with a standard 12-month RTB (Return To Base) warranty. This entitles the customer to expect to be able to ship any broken PC's to us and we will fix it free of charge (parts and labour). We MUST have an RMA number attached to all machines and this will be given when the fault is reported to us. The customer will be liable for any shipping costs, but we will accept the cost of returning the repaired PC. Obviously, if a machine has been damaged it will not fall under our warranty, but we will always give a competitive price for repair prior to fixing in these cases. A full list of Warranty clauses is available upon request – and will indeed be issued to all resellers upon their first order.

We provide free technical support via email, to be used by customers and resellers alike. Whilst we accept that our resellers do not want their customers to know we actually exist, we want to take the technical support burden off them and offer an email support system they can pass onto their customers. Please use SupportTeamComspec-Assist.co.uk for all technical queries. This support will be offered on all products for the first 12 months after purchase. There is also an option to extend this, which is offered as a resale product.

We welcome our resellers contacting us by telephone for any support issues they may have, but would ask that only resellers use this method and final customers are urged to use the email address. If we feel a customer needs to talk to us directly, we will call them after an exploratory email. The reasoning behind this is that we do not want our phone lines clogged with small queries which deviate our staff from their more important jobs. All technical support emails will be answered within 24 hours, regardless of which day of the week they arrive.

Data Protection

We are well aware of our legal obligations under the Data Protection Act and will ensure that we hold no information relating to final customers at all on our system (once we have despatched orders). As far as we are concerned, YOU (the reseller) are our customer and yours are the only details we need to hold. Any shipping addresses, etc, are disregarded by our system after the order is processed and completed.

We will not contact your customers directly unless you ask us to, or unless they have a specific technical query which requires us to. We will always drop an email to the relevant reseller to inform them of this, so they can take whatever action they need to ensure their customer loyalty is retained.

Legal Title of Goods

The legal title of all goods supplied remains with Comspec until paid for in full. We retain the legal title of goods up until they are signed for and handed to a customer. We will always insist on a signature for any package being delivered.

Returns

If any return is deemed necessary, for whatever reason, we would ask that an email is sent to us at SupportTeamComspec-Assist.co.uk, so we can issue an RMA number. Only goods with this number will be accepted into our workshop.

All goods can be returned within 7 days of purchase, with no reason required. In this case, we will not refund postage, but will refund the complete price of the item concerned – to our reseller only. We expect the reseller to provide their own returns policy to their customers and that it falls in reasonably with our own.

All defective goods will be replaced immediately, unless tampered with. We will deal with each return on a case-by-case basis and will always lean in favour of the customer, in order to keep brand loyalty for us and our reseller.

Other Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to cancel membership for any reason we deem fit. Any potential cancellation will be notified by email, with an option to appeal given. Comspec's decision will be deemed final after the appeal is taken into consideration.

We are happy for any of our reseller members to use any of the information contained on our product pages and will provide anything else you require within reason. We will also supply any documents you require with an order provided these are emailed to us in a timely fashion.

Please do not copy text or images from our site which are not relevant to your reselling process of our products – this is copyright infringement and will result in cancellation of membership.

Please bear in mind that our background is in IT (and Accounts, but that is probably irrelevant), so we will be able to provide you with any support you deem necessary.

We would ask all our resellers to act fairly at all times. We have left sufficient margin in our PC packages for everyone to resell at a fair price and, whilst we do not specify what selling prices have to be, we would ask that our members do not try to undercut each other unfairly.
